Apple Unveils AI-Powered iPhone

Source: Apple

Apple has officially introduced the iPhone 16, the first of its flagship devices specifically designed for generative AI integration. The standout feature is Apple Intelligence, a set of AI-driven tools debuting later with iOS 18. Among the highlights is an enhanced Siri, now integrated with OpenAI’s ChatGPT, enabling smoother conversations where Siri maintains context even when users stumble over their words. The iPhone 16 also offers text rewriting, proofreading, and summarizing features for apps, as well as an "Image Playground" for creating fun generative AI images.

Later in the year, the iPhone 16 will introduce additional AI capabilities, such as providing real-time information about objects and locations via the Camera Control button. Users will be able to identify dog breeds or get details about nearby businesses with a simple tap. Apple Intelligence will also allow the creation of custom emojis from text prompts and offer enhanced email summaries.

SaneBox: The AI Inbox

Source: SaneBox

SaneBox’s AI is like having a personal inbox assistant. It scans your emails, figures out who you actually care about, and filters out the junk. Important stuff gets top priority, while the less crucial emails chill in the SaneLater folder. And those annoying senders? They get sent to the Black Hole, never to be seen again.

What’s cool is that SaneBox keeps learning and adapting to your habits, so your inbox stays tidy without you lifting a finger. Plus, it works with your current email setup—no complicated changes needed. If your inbox feels like chaos, SaneBox’s AI is here to bring some order.

AI Gone Wrong: The ‘Megalopolis’ Trailer Snafu

Source: Lionsgate

Lionsgate’s recent marketing blunder surrounding the Megalopolis trailer has everyone talking about the unexpected role AI can play in entertainment—sometimes for the worse. The trailer featured fake quotes from renowned film critics, generated by AI, misrepresenting their reviews of Francis Ford Coppola’s past films. One quote falsely attributed to Pauline Kael claimed The Godfather was “diminished by its artsiness,” a far cry from her actual praise of the film.

The mishap has led to Lionsgate parting ways with marketing consultant Eddie Egan, and the studio has since pulled the trailer. While the intention was to reflect how Coppola’s work has been met with both criticism and acclaim, the reliance on AI without proper vetting backfired.
