🎬 Nicolas Cage’s Warning: Don’t Let AI Steal Your Craft!

At the 25th Newport Beach Film Festival, Nicolas Cage urged young actors to resist pressure from studios using AI to alter their performances. Speaking before receiving his Icon Award, Cage emphasized that acting is a deeply personal, handcrafted process that comes from the heart and imagination. He warned about the rise of Employment-Based Digital Replica (EBDR), a new AI technology that allows studios to manipulate actors' faces, voices, and performances without their consent.

Cage highlighted his cameo in The Flash as an example of EBDR and advised actors to protect their artistic integrity. He encouraged them to think twice before signing contracts that allow studios to use this AI on their work. In a previous interview, Cage expressed his fear of AI replacing the authenticity of artists, questioning where the "heartbeat" of real performance would go. His message: safeguard your craft and identity as an actor.
